Christmas at St Clements
Charming Parsons Green cafe St Clements is hosting a Christmas event with Santa on Tuesday 15 December from 2 to 5pm. Kids will enjoy biscuits and hot chocolate, while there will be mince pies and tea or coffee for adults. Tickets are £12, or £7 per additional child (£2 extra for face painting). Christmas nail art at Harrods
When visiting the children’s shoes department at Harrods on Saturday 28 November between 2 and 6pm, little girls can enjoy festive nail art with Mini Melissa. There’s also cartoon character face painting with Crocs in the same department on Saturday afternoon, and festive face painting in the Disney Store at Harrods from 27 to 29 November.
Christmas icing party at Biscuiteers
On Tuesday 15 December between 2 and 4pm Biscuiteers on Northcote Road are hosting one-hour icing parties for children, including biscuit icing, face painting and festive fun. Tickets are £15 per child, and can be booked in-store or by phone on 0207 924 5488.
Father Christmas at Royal Albert Hall
At Royal Albert Hall, families can journey through time on a children’s tour of the building, join a Christmas decorations and card-making workshop, and meet Father Christmas in his grotto. The family experience, which is available from 7 to 24 December, takes 1 hour and 15 minutes, and there’s mulled wine and mince pies available for purchase. Tickets are £26.50 per child aged 2 and over, and can be booked online. Adults go free.
Kids Christmas Gingerbread house event at Bluebird
Bluebird in Chelsea is hosting a gingerbread-house making workshop for kids on Thursday 17 December at 4pm in the Food Store. Attendees will receive walls, gum drop roofs and icing to make their dream houses. Tickets are £20 per child and also include refreshments. Swarovski Ice Rink at Natural History Museum
For a fun outdoors activity this Christmas, families can try ice skating at the Swarovski Ice Rink at Natural History Museum. The ice rink has been open for several weeks already, and it is generally open from 11am to 9pm. There’s a separate children’s rink for young skaters, and until 11 December there are special parent and toddler sessions for £10 for a parent and a child under 4. These tickets are valid for weekday sessions up to and including 3pm, and tickets include a complimentary drink for each.
Winter weekend at WWT London Wetland Centre
WWT London Wetland Centre is hosting a festive winter weekend on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December, where children can hop aboard a husky sleigh ride, visit Santa in his grotto in the pine forest and enjoy a Christmassy donkey ride. There will also be Christmas workshops with elves for children to make decorations and Christmas gifts, and on the Sunday there will be Fullers Shire Horse dray rides from 12.00-3pm.
White Christmas Fair in Battersea
Family-friendly Northcote Road and Webbs Road in Battersea are hosting the White Christmas Fair with live entertainment, fairground rides, carol singing and Santa’s Grotto on Saturday 28 November. The entertainment will take place at Santa’s Snug on Webb’s Road, where there will be a lounge area and street food sellers, and at 7pm in the evening there will be candlelit carols, starting at Santa’s Snug. Santa’s Grotto will be at Hamptons International on Northcote Road.
Town Hall Cherubs at Battersea Arts Centre
From 2 December to 3 January, Battersea Arts Centre will welcome children aged 2 to 5 for the interactive performance Town Hall Cherubs, where they will go on an adventure from room to room and explore and play. The experience will last 50 minutes and tickets start from £10.
Christmas at Cupcake Family Club
Cupcake Family Club in Parsons Green is celebrating Christmas on Thursday 3 December, hosting a Christmas event between 3 and 5pm. Tickets for the event are available online.

Winterville in Victoria Park
Festive destination Winterville in Victoria Park is open from 26 November to 23 December, boasting an ice rink, kids quarter, circus, big wheel, rides and attractions, crazy golf and a backyard cinema. In the special area for children there will be a Santa’s Grotto and 30-minute long kids workshops with Pop Tots (£5 per child) from 3 to 6.30pm on weekdays.
Carols for the Animals
Downton Abbey actor Peter Egan and other special guests will be reading at International Animal Rescue’s Carols for the Animals in St Stephen Walbrook Church on 3 December at 6.30pm. Guests can enjoy mulled wine and mince pies as they sing to traditional carols with the St Stephen Walbrook Choir, and all proceeds go to International Animal Rescue.
