010 things to do in London with kids this half-term
London Duck Tours
Sightseeing is not just for tourists. I’ve long wanted to take the kids on the fun London Duck Tours to see London from both land and river, and I’m excited to have scheduled this to review for half-term
Duplo Days at Legoland Windsor
It may not be warm outside, but the sun is still shining, and I’m tempted to wrap up warm and make the most of the Duplo Days at Legoland Windsor. Tickets are only £25 for adult and a child under 5 and it’s £5 for an additional child. Duplo Days continue to be Monday to Friday until 31 October.
SEA Life London Aquarium
Visiting SEA Life London Aquarium can be fun for children and adults alike, and this half-term the spotlight is on spooky sea creatures at this impressive London attraction. On 31 October, the Fish Witch will be visiting the aquarium too!
Trolls Takeover at DreamWorks Shrek’s Adventure
Also on Southbank, DreamWorks Shrek’s Adventure is a favourite with Big Girl, and this half-term the colourful characters from the much-anticipated Trolls animation will be welcoming visitors to the Trolls Village at Shrek’s Adventure. Expect feel-good songs and rainbow colours!
Icing party at Biscuiteers
Enjoy Halloween games, biscuit icing and face painting at the spooky one-hour icing parties at Biscuiteers in Notting Hill or on Northcote Road. The parties will be taking place on 28, 29 and 31 October, and tickets can be booked by calling the shops.
Florence Nightingale Museum
I’m yet to visit the Florence Nightingale Museum with the children, but next week is the last week of the Take Me to Neverland: Peter Pan from Play to Book and Beyond exhibition at the museum, and there are lots going on at the museum for families this half-term. On 28 October, there’s a Peter Pan Board Game event, where visitors can try a giant Peter Pan board game, and make their own board game to take home.
Clip n’ Climb
We’ve been to Chelsea’s Clip n’ Climb several times recently, and I’ve really enjoyed seeing Big Girl try something new. Clip n’ Climb is fun for both children and adults, and it’s a great venue for keeping active and gaining a new skill.
GoApe in Battersea Park or at Chessington World of Adventures
For outdoor climbing, try GoApe in Battersea Park or at Chessington World of Adventures. Both adults and children can go on zip-trekking tree top adventure.
Putt in the Park
When the weather is good, I also want to try Putt in the Park, the fun mini golf courses that are located in Battersea Park, Wandsworth Park and Acton Park. Putting can make a great family activity!
Garsons
Head to Pick Your Own Farm Garsons in Esher to get in the spirit of Halloween and pick your own pumpkins. There are also Halloween activities at the farm between 22 and 30 October, including a Monster Hunt around the garden centre.
