03 last minute Valentine’s Day gift ideas
A subscription to Freddie’s Flowers
Instead of giving flowers as a one-off on Valentine’s Day, why not give a subscription to Freddie’s Flowers? I received a bouquet from Freddie’s Flowers to review, but we’ve also been customers of the company for more than six months. The fresh flowers arrive in boxes and includes instructions for how to style them. Customers can manage their subscriptions online and opt out of weeks they are away or don’t want to receive them. For us, the beautiful flowers typically work well as a centrepiece on the kitchen island and I’ve always been happy with the style, choice of colours and variety. I also think they are good value for the quality of what we receive (£22 per box, including delivery).
A class at Parson’s Nose
The popular butchers Parson’s Nose in Fulham, Putney and South Kensington offer butchery masterclasses run in the shops between Monday and Friday. The classes start from £120 per person for a class that is approximately two hours long, and more information about the different topics to choose from is available online. It sounds like something that could be fun for foodie husbands to team up and do together!
A home-cooked meal
A friend suggested giving something homemade, and I’ve previously been recommended buying fashion kits from Wool & The Gang to knit presents, which is something I’ll keep in mind for another time. For this year, however, I think what might work best to make at home would be a special meal. I have big hopes that this is on Daddy T’s to-do list for tomorrow!
