Baby and Bump Brunch with maternity nurse Fiona Cooke at Waterstones Kings Road
To celebrate the release of maternity nurse Fiona Cooke’s new book, Mummy in the City readers are invited to A Baby and Bump Brunch at Waterstones on Kings Road on 20 September at 10.30am. The brunch will have Fiona going through swaddling techniques, answering questions and signing her book A Helpful Guide to a Happy Baby: Practical Wisdom from a Maternity Nurse for 0-3 months (Orphans Publishing, £12.99). The book is aimed at helping gently guiding babies into a rhythm and supporting new mums to establish their own priorities.

City of Women at Leadenhall Market
On 22 and 23 September an event hosted by the City of London is hosting an event titled City of Women–a new composition for choir and soloists celebrating the achievements of the Suffragettes, feminist campaigners and lesser-known but remarkable women across the centuries. Free 30-minute performances of City of Women will be running at Leadenhall Market on 22 and 23 September on the hour from 11am to 2.00pm.
