3 free London family events to enjoy this week

Fine Motor Skills Workshop with London’s Little Thinkers and Trunkaroo at Igloo
London’s Little Thinkers, founded by a local independent prep school teacher, and Trunkaroo, a STEM-focused kids project box provider, are teaming up to host a Fine Motor Skills workshop in Igloo on King’s Road from 10-11am on Saturday 14 May. The free event (register online or email) is designed for children aged three to six and their parents, and Rebecca from London’s Little Thinkers will be at hand to advice on how to best develop fine motor skills at home.

Roald Dahl-inspired literary family dat at Broadgate Circle
As it is 100 years since the birth of Roald Dahl this year, Roald Dahl events continue taking place across the country, and on Saturday 14 May Broadgate Circle in the City is hosting a Roald Dahl-inspired family fun day from 11am to 4pm to commemorate the much-loved children’s author. At the free event, families can drop in for storytelling, imaginative games, mask and hat making and a sweetie forest.

Story Time at Fulham’s Nomad Books
I’ve recently discovered that there’s a free weekly storytelling session at 3.45pm on Thursdays in charming independent bookstore Nomad Books on Fulham Road near Parsons Green (see picture at the top). When we visited, they read three picture books, and there were around 10 young children at the event. Children can sit on cushions on the floor or on a small sofa and there are also other books in a basket to look at after the session. A sweet activity to keep the little ones entertained if you’re in the area!
