3 picture books for celebrating Valentine’s Day

Love Matters Most by Mij Kelly
For a heartwarming story about love and family, Love Matters Most by Mij Kelly (£11.99, Hodder Children’s Book) makes for a sweet book for Valentine’s Day. With beautiful illustrations by Gerry Turley and rhyming text, Love Matters Most, which we received to review, tells the story of a mother bear looking for her cub. The charming story celebrates the bond between mother and child–highlighting that love matters most!

Dog in Boots by Paula Metcalf
For a sweet and funny love story for young children, Dog in Boots by Paula Metcalf (£6.99, Oxford University Press), published in January, has caught our attention. This is one of the books we’ve been reading over and over again after receiving it to review because the story about two cute dogs who try to change their appearance for love features laugh-out-loud funny pictures and fun flaps to lift. It is a sweet book about falling in love and celebrating being yourself.

Forever by Emma Dodd
When I first discovered Forever by Emma Dodd (£7.99, Templar Publishing), I wanted to wrap it as a special present to Big Boy and Big Girl. I love the story about a polar bear and the polar bear cub, and the message in the book about ever-lasting love between a mother and child. This beautiful book is a little keepsake!
