03 places to celebrate the royal wedding in Chelsea
Chelsea Physic Garden
To celebrate the Royal Wedding, Chelsea Physic Garden is hosting a special Royal Wedding day with screenings, activities and a themed food and drinks menu. In addition to watching the wedding on one of the TV screens, visitors can go on a Royal mystery trail, take part in the best hat competition, learn how to make a flower crown with Bloomologie and enjoy a variety of food and drinks. Entrance will be free tomorrow, and there will be a limit of 500 people allowed in the garden at any one time.
Duke of York Square
I remember being at Duke of York Square when Prince William married Kate, and it was a great place to meet up with friends. For the Royal Wedding tomorrow, the green running track will be open and decorated with bunting, so this will be a place to go for anyone who wants to enjoy live music, pack a picnic or buy food and drinks from the weekly Fine Food Market, and soak up the atmosphere.
Bluebird
Another favourite venue for meeting up with friends in summer is Bluebird on King’s Road, and Bluebird is celebrating the Royal Wedding with a special food and drinks menu. The café and courtyard will be decorated with bunting and there will be a full screening of the wedding followed by a live DJ from 5pm. Restaurant-goers can expect all-day brunch specials, BBQ burgers and strawberries and cream. Tickets are £25 for full entrance and a glass of bubbles, and access to the courtyard tomorrow is by ticket purchase only and on a first come, first serve basis thereafter.
