03 places to watch the Wimbledon final tomorrow
Even if you’re not one of the lucky ticket holders for the Wimbledon men’s final tomorrow, it is still possible to go out and experience the tennis fever in London. Here are three places to watch the final on a big screen:
The View from The Shard
At The View from The Shard there’s a tennis-themed pop-up with tennis whites and artificial lawns at the open-air Skydeck on Level 72 where the tennis is screened. Visitors will be surrounded by 360-degree panoramic views of the city, while having the chance to sip Champagne Lanson and indulge in strawberries and cream. The View from The Shard is located at the top of Western Europe’s tallest building, and entry to the pop-up is included with every general admission ticket.
Bluebird
Chelsea’s Bluebird is a fantastic place to get in the spirit of Wimbledon, and before having children I remember meeting up with friends and watching the men’s final in the courtyard, where they show the tennis on a big screen, while restaurant-goers can enjoy an al-fresco meal. There’s now also a Moet Champagne truck in the courtyard, and Four Winters have popped up in the courtyard, serving their special ice cream. Tickets for the Men’s final are £100 per person, including a 3-course meal, and there are also bar packages that can be booked.
Big Screen on the Green
In Fulham the Big Screen on the Green is back on Parsons Green, with the last day being tomorrow’s men’s final event. In addition to the tennis, the programme also includes live music and entertainment and open-air film screenings. There are boutique pop-up stores, a Pommery Champagne lounge, strawberries and cream and more. Standard tickets were sold out when I checked, but there were VIP tickets available at £32.50.
