3 signs I’ve been holidaying with London kids
1. When walking on a rural country path three-year-old Big Boy spotted a gigantic pile of tree branches on the ground and exclaimed: “Bird nest!”
2. When going shopping in a small town in the late afternoon, we suggested we should be quick to avoid the shops closing before we got there. Five-year-old Big Girl couldn’t quite understand why anything would close, and wondered if it was Sunday opening hours where we were staying?
3. When Grandpa P had signed the children up for a membership club for a cartoon character and came with big welcome packs they had received in the post, Big Girl kept asking when we were going to go there. I soon realised she thought it was some private members club for kids – not a case of receiving a magazine with activity pages.
