3 shows on stage for kids in London May half term 2019

The Gruffalo at Rose Theatre
The much-loved stage adaptation of popular Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler children’s book The Gruffalo will be playing at Rose Theatre this half-term from 29 May to 2 June. The show, produced by Tall Stories, tells the story about the mouse who takes a stroll through the deep dark woods, meeting a fox, an owl and a snake. The running time is 55 minutes without interval, and it is recommended for children aged 3 years and older.

My Great Orchestral Adventure at Royal Albert Hall
On Tuesday 28 May October, Royal Albert Hall is hosting a family concert as part of the My Great Orchestral Adventure series. This time, the conductor is stuck in the future, and the orchestra takes families on a journey through the ages by using a special time machine. The fun musical event is recommended for children aged 3 and over, and the running time is 1 hour and 45 minutes, including a 25-minute interval.

Transit at Southbank Centre
Flip FabriQue, the Canadian circus troupe, is returning to London to headline Southbank’s Underbelly Festival with their show Transit. The show, which is recommended for children aged 6 and over, is running from 27 May to 7 July. Audiences can expect high-flying acrobatics and aerial routines in the 60-minute long show.
