03 things to do in London with kids this week
London Design Biennale 2016
The first London Design Biennale 2016 is taking place at Somerset House, and this is an event I would love to take Big Girl too after seeing pictures of a few of the huge installations presented there. There are installations and designs by 37 countries, including a recreation of a bustling Beirut street, an interactive circular stainless steel structure a 14-metre tall wind-powered installation and much more. London Design Biennale is running until 27 September.
John Farnham’s Children’s Fun Fair on Eel Brook Common
A fun fair has returned to Eel Brook Common, opening at 2pm today, and this time around the John Parnham’s Children’s Fun Fair is scheduled to run in the same location until 2 October. After that it will be on Parsons Green from 5 to 16 October. The fun fair with rides and inflatables is open from 2pm on weekdays and from 11am on weekends.
Open Day at Cupcake Family Club
Cupcake Family Club in Parsons Green is hosting an open day today, offering a variety of open classes, class demonstrations, face-painting and cupcakes and balloons. Non-members are welcome to come experience the club and meet the team, and it is recommended to register interest online.
