03 top travel activity books for kids
Usborne Wipe-Clean Holiday Activities (£4.99)
I’ve recently discovered the Usborne wipe clean books, which are ideal for travelling as they come with a wipe-clean pen, so they can be used again and again. I’ve received the new Usborne Wipe Clean Holiday Activities with holiday-themed counting, observation and pattern activities to review, and this has been pretty fantastic for use in restaurants. Baby Girl is still at a stage where she mainly draws around the pages, but it doesn’t matter if she makes mistakes because I simply wipe it off after use and it means she can practise many times. I also like the look of the First Drawing and First Letters wipe-clean books in the same series.
Scholastic Activities Holiday Sticker Activity (£4.99)
Sticker books are perfect to take on trips for children of various ages, and we started introducing sticker books on flights at around 16 months. Scholastic has their own sticker books series, including travel-themed sticker books titled ‘On the Plane’ and ‘Holiday’, which we’ve received to review, and they are spot on for travelling since they have travel-themed pages to decorate with stickers and pages to colour in. Each of these two books include more than 200 stickers. I also love that Scholastic offers activity book bundles ( 8 sticker activity books for £9.99), which would be great for longer holidays–or party bags.
Crayola Colour Wonder
On our last holiday in France, we bought the Crayola Colour Wonder with Minnie Mouse, which includes a colouring book and magic markers in different colours. It’s completely mess free, as the colours are invisible if used on other paper, and the set is great to use on the go. It keeps little ones entertained, as even hidden images appear when they start colouring in, and we’ve found it’s been brilliant for both restaurants and flights.
