3 unique Christmas books for young children

The Little Christmas Tree
The colourful picture book The Little Christmas Tree by Rachel Elliot, Vicki Gausden and Corina Fletcher (Egmont, £14.99) tells a sweet Christmas story about caring for others, and I was excited to receive a copy to review, as the hardcover book stands out because the final page is a pop-up Christmas tree with cut-out paper decorations. The pop-up tree (see picture at the top) is perfect for young children, such as three-year-old Big Girl who enjoys decorating a Christmas tree over and over again.

My First Christmas Keyboard BookMy First Christmas Keyboard Book
I was recommended keyboard books by another mum, and Big Girl was thrilled when I first bought her a keyboard-style book, as she likes playing with the keyboard and trying to play different tunes. I like the look of Usborne’s My First Christmas Keyboard Book (£12.99), which uses different colours to represent the notes, and little ones can learn to play Jingle Bells, Silent Night, We Three Kings and Deck the Halls on the book’s keyboard. Great festive fun!

My Night Before Christmas
One of my favourite Christmas books this season has been the personalised version of The Night Before Christmas (I See Me, $34.99), which I received to review and have later also bought as  a present for others. The hardback book is beautifully done, telling the classic story, but including the child’s name on illustrations, a picture of the child at the front, names of family members on stockings and presents, the child’s surname on the house, and the name of the child’s hometown on a sign. It feels like a true keepsake and a magical book to read at Christmas time. For a last minute Christmas gift, I’ve noticed it’s possible to buy an e-voucher for a personalised book from I See Me.
