03 ways to celebrate Father’s Day with kids in London
Father’s Day shoot at Caramel in Notting Hill
Clothing boutique Caramel in Notting Hill is hosting a Father’s Day photo studio on Saturday 17 June with photographer Nana Varveropoulou. A 40-minute session is £250 and spaces are limited. Slots can be booked by emailing the store on nottinghill@caramel-shop.co.uk.
Family tournament with Henry Lamb Tennis
It’s not really a Father’s Day event, but for tennis-loving dads who want to celebrate by doing something fun with their children the Henry Lamb Family Tennis Tournament seems like a perfect match (if you’re fine to celebrate the following weekend). Henry Lamb Tennis is hosting its family tournament in Barnes on Saturday 24 June, and parents or grandparents of all ages and abilities are welcome to sign up with their children to play round robin matches from 2pm to 5pm that day (£15 for two family members). I’ve been ensured there will be a mini red pool, which means this could be a cool event even for those of us with young tennis players – or just eager parents who want to get the young ones excited about tennis and inspire their children to play.
Father’s Day workshop with Mini Engineers
Mini Engineers, known for their LEGO building holiday workshops, is hosting a Father’s Day airport challenge, where each child can bring one parent or adult and come build an airplane as a duo and then join a group to build an airport. The workshop, aimed at children aged 4 and over, will run in South Kensington on 17 June at 10.30am and 1pm and in Wimbledon on 18 June at 1.45pm and 3.45pm. The workshops will last for 1 hour and 45 minutes and the price is £48 per child.
