Power UP at the Science Museum
From 22 July to 7 August the Science Museum is hosting a family-friendly gaming event, celebrating the best video games, computers and consoles from the past 40 years. The Power UP event, running in partnership with gaming specialists European Gaming League, is split into themed zones and will allow visitors to use 160 systems and hundreds of games, including everything from Mario Brothers and Sonic to Disney and Batman games. Power UP is designed to offer players of all ages an opportunity to experience science, technology, engineering and maths hands on.
Summer Events at Igloo
Children’s clothing stores Igloo are hosting two weeks of free in-store summer activities from 19 to 29 July. The Summer Events at Igloo schedule includes classes by Monkey Music, Little House of Science, Bilingual Beats. Club Petit Pierrot and several more, and it seems like a fantastic opportunity to try a mix of free sessions with popular children’s class providers. Project Craft at Paperchase
Paperchase recently introduced Project Craft (see picture above), craft workshops in flagship Paperchase stores for both grown-ups and kids, and over the summer there are kids animal mask, crown-making and scrapbooking sessions, for example, in the London store at Tottenham Court Road. The sessions. which can be booked online, start from £10 and include materials.
