Teddy Tennis and Tribal Tennis
Children’s tennis programme Teddy Tennis is running half-term morning tennis camps in Battersea Park, Wimbledon Park and Canbury Gardens in Kingston for children aged 2 to 5, and their new Tribal Tennis programme for children aged 6 to 11 years have also introduced full-day tennis camps in Battersea Park. The Tribal Tennis camps are 10am to 12pm or 1pm to 3pm (£30 per session), or 10am to 3pm (£55 per day). Little ones can still book Teddy Tennis camps, and there are 45-minute sessions for two to three-year olds at 9am every morning on camp days, and children aged three to five can do two-hour Teddy Tennis camp sessions from 10am to 12pm.
Playball
Multi-sports programme Playball is running holiday camps in Battersea Park and at Oak Lodge School for half-term. Each Playball holiday camp starts at 10am in the morning and finishes at 1pm and the sessions are aimed at children aged 3 to 9 and cost £30 per child.
Yellowbird Education
London school specialist Yellowbird Education is running four-day creative writing workshops from 29 May to 1 June at Parsons Green Prep School in Fulham. The course is aimed at children aged 6 to 12 years and runs from 10am to 2pm on each day. There are a maximum of 8-10 children in each group, and the course is £349 per child.
Little House of Science
Children’s science class provider Little House of Science is running a three-day holiday camp for children aged 4 to 11 at Imperial College in South Kensington from Tuesday 29 May to Thursday 31 May. The theme for the three-day camp is Evolution, Adaptations & Natural Selections, and it is from 9.30am to 3.30pm every day (£240 per child for three days).
Mini Engineers
For LEGO holiday camps, check out Mini Engineers, which is hosting two-day search and rescue-themed, LEGO building May half-term camps for children aged five to 11. The half-term camps are held in South Kensington, Battersea, Wimbledon, Dulwich and St John’s Wood on different dates between 29 May and 1 June (Prices vary).
Stag Lodge Stables
South West London’s Stag Lodge Stables,which offers horse riding lessons for adults and children, are running a May half-term Pony Week Course for children aged five to 12 years from 29 May to 1 June. The four-day course is £325 per child, and each day includes two rides as well as stable management lessons.
Kite Studios
Charming Sheperd’s Bush art studio Kite Studios is hosting May half term workshops for children aged four to 7 and 8 and over. There are one and a half-hour sessions for 4 to 7-year-olds from 10am to 11.30am (£15 per session), while over 8s can do half-days from noon to 3pm (£30 per session). There’s a new theme every day, and one day over the May half term children will, for example, design and make plates for printing inspired by favourite characters from Star Wars. In addition to the art holiday workshops, Kite Studios is running two-hour clay camp sessions for children aged 5 to 7 and children aged 8 and over.
Miss Sophie’s Holiday Club
Miss Sophie’s Holiday Club, a London based holiday club provider run by a local primary school teacher, offers a unique programme of London excursions for children aged 4 to 11. Miss Sophie and her staff meet the children at Chelsea Old Town Hall at 9.30am in the morning of an outing and take the group on a trip to a London attraction, incorporating literacy, art, history and science. The staff are teachers or teaching assistants, and there is an adult to child ratio of 1:4. The May half-term holiday programme includes trips to London Docklands Museum, Postal Museum and more (£80 per day per child).
