Keeping the house clean with non-toxic method products
When I was pregnant last year I did a complete clear-out of cleaning products. I wanted to feel safe in my own home and ensure we used eco-friendly products when possible.
I created a box where I put all the things I didn’t want to be used regularly and marked it ‘only when needed’. I created other boxes for different rooms and filled them with mainly cleaning products by method. I think I must have had almost the full range at one point–everything from wooden floor cleaning to hand soap.
I simply wanted to avoid having toxic cleaning products regularly used in our house, and that’s why I was also happy to receive some samples from method’s bathroom range. We regularly use the method bathroom cleaner and shower cleaner, and since it now seems possible to replace many traditional cleaning products with products with naturally-derived ingredients, I want to stick to buying method products.
I want to keep the house clean – but I also prefer not to own too many toxic products. Safety first when there’s a baby on the way or kids in the house!
