A Andreassen launches chic slippers for women and kids

When we had friends over yesterday, two mums commented on my footwear, which was pretty much in style with the theme of the get-together. We were making Christmas crafts with the children, and the designer of the new slippers I’d received to review has been inspired by woven handmade baskets often seen on Scandinavian Christmas trees.

The stylish slippers in soft taupe and rose gold leather are from London-based brand A Andreassen, founded by Norwegian footwear designer Astrid Andreassen. A Andreassen just launched its first collection of felt and leather slippers and accessories for women and children this month, and I’ve been very excited about the high quality heart-design slippers. The luxurious slippers are incredibly soft since they have a padded footbed, making them not only chic and stylish but also comfy to wear.

The women’s slippers, which come true to size, are ideal for mums like me who don’t always want to put on large wooly slippers at home, but still like to keep warm on cold floors during the winter months. Some styles come in matching mum and daughter slippers too, making them fun as gifts for design-conscious families.

I think the Elskling slippers in taupe and rose gold leather (£89.95) look particularly chic with denim, cream, beige and pink tones, and I could see dark grey and metallic slate slippers being a good match for what I was wearing yesterday – black trousers and a grey wool sweater.

A Andreassen slippers ooze quality, style and comfort, and since they are so unique they would make ideal presents for mums who have everything–even those who look so fab you would never dare to buy them clothes for Christmas.
