0abercrombie kids charity event celebrates first flagship store in the UK
Baby Girl must have thought I’d gone mad last Thursday. We had dinner at Purple Dragon and instead of heading home to go to bed afterwards, we asked the taxi driver to take us and our friends to Mayfair. There was no way we were going to miss the abercrombie kids Savile Row store launch party in aid of Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital Children’s Charity.
The store itself is really impressive, and I have a feeling we’ll be shopping more here than in the adult one across the road in the years to come. Baby Girl is still a bit too little for the clothes, which start from size 7 years, but I was dying to spend the voucher I’d received as a gift from abercrombie kids on a new ballerina dress for her or a faux fur gilet–really trendy and stylish.
But it wasn’t only the collection that impressed us. We also had a fantastic time at the event designing our very own t-shirt. Baby Girl and her friend got to use markers to draw on an abercrombie kids t-shirt and stick on sparkly diamonds. Afterwards, they headed to the fun photo booth and later attacked the candy bar. It was well-worth staying up an hour late for this special event, which was also attended by VIP guests Jodie Kidd, Andy Serkis and Angela Griffin and their kids.
The next day I was thrilled to hear Abercrombie & Fitch had made a donation of £25,000 to help rebuild and refurbish Great Ormond Street Hospital, provide vital up-to-date equipment and fund research into better treatments for children across the UK, in honour of the launch of their new kids store. A truly fantastic launch party!
