My family has always been focused on keeping fit, and I’m sure Grandpa P would be absolutely thrilled to hear that Baby Girl has started exercising at the age of eight weeks.
She had her first pilates session yesterday. She wasn’t actually meant to be taking part. She was meant to sleep, while I had my weekly at-home pilates session with Anne Gilpin from Jelly Belly.
But Baby Girl must have sensed that she had an opportunity to do something fun if she could just stay awake through her morning nap. There was no way she would miss out on a good workout.
Lying over my shoulder, we did squats, and lying on my breast, we did pelvic floor exercises. Midway through one person in the team managed to stain our tracksuits, and we both had to change tops. I never knew pilates could be such an exciting team sport.
