How to avoid tantrums in shops in the run up to Christmas

There’s a reason why the wish list Baby Girl has sent to Santa at family club Purple Dragon (see picture above) starts with a £2.99 brush and comb set from a local pharmacy.

It’s simply the most recent location we visited where Baby Girl as usual found something she wanted me to buy and tried putting it on the till. I’ve now started telling her that we can’t buy it, but she can put it on her wish list to Santa.

Every time we’ve visited a new shop recently her wish list has gotten longer and longer. Sometimes she forgets what she wants, but other times, she goes on and on about asking Santa for her latest shop-finds.

But at least it keeps life simpler for a while. I’m just worried what we’re going to do in January when there’s a whole year to wait for Santa again. I guess we’ll be back to lying on the floor, kicking and screaming.
