0Avoiding ear pain for baby when flying
Every time I travel with Baby Girl I get incredibly stressed. So stressed that I had to borrow Baby Girl’s WaterWipes yesterday because I was so hot. Part of the problem is that Baby Girl is not exactly acting like a seasoned traveller. There tends to be a lot of crying.
And it doesn’t help that she’s not cooperating on the feeding schedule. I know I’m meant to breastfeed her during take-off and landing, and I get very stressed about getting it right. I worry she will experience ear pain, so I’m desperately trying to time the feeds.
The first time I flew with her she was latched on during take-off. But since then it’s been a disaster. She tends to fall off just before take-off, so I end up sitting there with my heart beating faster and faster, worrying about whether she’ll scream for the duration of the flight.
I used to love flying, but I must admit it’s difficult to get the same joy of being in the air when I have ear pressure and baby tears to think about.
