Baby exercising grabbing and dropping skills

Baby toysI recently read that Baby Girl was at the age where she would enjoy grabbing and dropping items. That explains quite a lot. It explains why I’m constantly cleaning toys.

In fact, part of the reason I often feel Baby Girl needs new toys is that the majority of her toys end up spending a lot of time in the laundry bin. They all go in there as soon as they’ve landed on the floor, which is typically after Baby Girl has played with them for two minutes – if not less.

I keep being told that I won’t bother with this if we have a second child though. But I’m not ready to ignore it yet. I just love the one toy she has which goes in the dishwasher – the Sassy Ring-O-Links.

I take the rings everywhere and split them up into pairs, so that we can get a few more minutes out of this one toy. It’s an added bonus that the rings are in bright colours too. In Baby Girl’s case, toys don’t just drop. They fly. And the full-time toy cleaner also becomes a full-time toy finder. Anything for Baby Girl.
