0Baby’s first art sculpture competition
I was a very proud mum last Tuesday. A mum with a piece of yellow, blue and white playdough to hand in to Baby Girl’s art teacher. Baby Girl entered her very first art competition organised by her family club Purple Dragon in collaboration with auction house Christie’s, and she made her own sculpture.
Nine-month old Baby Girl was sat in a Cushi Tush seat and given a piece of playdough covered in cling film, which she was allowed to shape herself.
She pulled and crushed the dough with her little hands, and the result was what I would call a terribly cute piece of art. If it were to be all Baby Girl, the piece should have been titled Baba, Dada, Gaga or Mama, but instead I decided to help with the naming and called it The Wave.
The beautiful sculpture looks very much like a wave, and while Baby Girl was making it, she also took a few breaks to wave at passers-by. I’m convinced my little star will make this a tough decision for the judges. A white, blue and yellow pile of dough with little finger prints and a name tag that says ‘The Wave’ must surely impress any art expert.
