Baby’s first Christmas

Grandma N seems to underestimate Baby Girl. She’s suggested I can wait until next year with getting Baby Girl a Christmas stocking and calendar. But I’m certain Baby Girl will want to have a proper Christmas this year too. We’ll definitely be going all in to give her a fantastic first Christmas.

That’s why I’ve started to make the necessary preparations for her. I’ve found her a cute advent calendar from Maileg at Sisters Guild. It’s a 1.5 metre tall ‘doll’, which looks a bit like Mrs Claus, and has pockets and hooks for attaching presents.

I can’t wait to put Baby Girl’s Mrs Claus calendar on the floor in her room and fill it with 24 little presents. The presents will be everything from a gift voucher for a float and massage at The Baby Spa to a bottle of vitamin D drops. She’s bound to love her calendar.

On Christmas Eve, Daddy T and I usually open our stockings, and there’s no way Baby Girl will be excluded from the family tradition. I’ve ordered a red and white wool stocking for her from The White Company, and I’ll probably fill it with a bottle of fresh breastmilk, a new pack of the practical Burpy Bibs from Aden & Anais, and a new Baby Einstein DVD.

To get into the spirit of Christmas, Baby Girl is also booked in to meet Santa at the Ralph Lauren Children shop in Fulham Road. I’m sure three months is a great age for enjoying a photo session with Santa and making the most of the festive season.
