0Review: Beaba Portions for storing, reheating and defrosting baby food
‘That’s for a baby!’
Three-year-old Big Girl seemed slightly confused when I told her I’d packed a snack pot for her and pulled out a Beaba container with grapes and strawberries. She’s been used to seeing me feeding eight-month-old Baby Boy his purees from the same container and obviously didn’t consider it to be for big girls like herself.
I think I originally shared that view too. I love the plastic Beaba Baby Portions and Maxi Portions jars, which we received to review, and I keep finding new uses for them. The Beaba Baby Portions and Maxi Portions jars are the best baby storage containers I’ve had since they are microwave-safe, have measurement markings for easy measuring and come with airtight lids.
In fact, I don’t only like the look of the see-through jars with bright coloured lids, but I also value the functional design. I use them almost every day, and I’ve taken them on trips abroad several times now too.
The set I received comes with three different sized stackable jars-all designed to be used with Beaba Babycook for reheating or defrosting food. They’re also brilliant for defrosting and reheating in a microwave, and that’s why I keep travelling with them.
The smallest jar is 150ml, which is ideal for feeding baby from on the go and as a snack pot for older children. The larger containers are 300ml and 500ml, making them suitable for storing larger portions of food either in the fridge or in the freezer. I’ve used the 500ml container for freezing a family-sized portion of a pasta sauce, for example, and I regularly use them both for baby food.
I think baby storage jars are practically a must-buy when getting ready for starting solids, and the Beaba Baby Portions jars are premium quality, offering a practical design to make them long-lasting kitchen favourites.
