Bespoke jacket for mum
This weekend I suddenly remembered that Baby Girl had forgotten to give me a birthday present. Daddy T agreed. Although my birthday was two months before she was born, she would probably have wanted to give me something.
Luckily for her, the Katherine Hooker sale started on Friday. This is where most of my winter jackets and coats are from now, and it’s one of my absolute favourite shops in London. In fact, this independent shop in Chelsea has become a family favourite.
It’s just a shame Baby Girl can’t use the monthly ‘fun budget’ we’ve set aside for her there. There are no made-to-order baby jackets for sale.
But I’m sure she was happy to be getting her mum a late birthday present instead. When the jacket is ready to be collected in four weeks from now, we will both benefit.
I will have a bespoke grey, fitted jacket with purple piping to go with my new nursing wear uniform consisting of black leggings and nursing tops – and Baby Girl will have a mum with a jacket to match the colour theme and quality of her own wardrobe.
