0Best app for mum visiting London with baby
Last week I was tweeting with a mum who wanted advice on how to get around London with a little one. What I should have done was to advice her to download the Gobaby app, which I’ve had a chance to test for free this week.
Gobaby – now advertising on Mummy in the City – provides users an excellent overview of the number of stairs on London underground stations.
I’ve been to Piccadilly Circus station hundreds of times since I used to work in the area, but I would never have guessed that there are 40 stairs to change between Bakerloo Line and Piccadilly Line.
With a baby in tow, this is exactly the type of information I’m interested in when looking at a tube map and planning my journey around London. In the beginning, I used to think there would always be someone who could help me with the pram – but that’s definitely not always the case.
And if I had been new to London, the app, which is £1.49 to download, would have been even more valuable. In fact, every city should have a Gobaby app for families travelling with young children.
It doesn’t only offer travel information but also information on baby changing facilities, which is also great to have when visiting new areas. I know the best spots in the areas I go every day, but if I were to venture a bit further away from Chelsea and Fulham, this app would be extremely useful.
A real stress-buster for any mummy in the city.
