0Where to find Chelsea and Fulham cafés with play areas
Margo & Julia’s in Parsons Green was the place to go for a coffee with a toddler in tow, but it’s now closed and the new chic St Clements café, which has opened in the same location, doesn’t have the downstairs play den.
That’s why Baby Girl and I have been searching for other alternatives, and here’s where we would now go for a babyccino when meeting our lovely interior designer or catching up with friends:
Gail’s Fulham Road
Gail’s on Fulham Road is fantastic for mums with active toddlers, as the café has a brilliant play area at the back. It’s much easier for me to sit down and chat over a coffee here than in other local cafés. Baby Girl loves browsing the selection of books, and playing with the puzzles and toys in Gail’s (see picture from Gail’s above), and the added bonus is that Gail’s also do brilliant lattes and babyccinos (50p).
Starbucks Wandsworth Bridge Road
Another café that’s easier to visit with Baby Girl than other standard coffee shops is Starbucks on Wandsworth Bridge Road. This Starbucks has a little play area with four comfy chairs and two baskets of toys. It’s not sectioned off, so toddlers can escape, but the toy baskets and free babyccinos make Starbucks on Wandsworth Bridge Road another good choice.
