0Best for breakfast with baby in Notting Hill
I think we can safely say that we’ve officially become a proper family with kids. We managed to finish two large meals out on Sunday before noon – something I didn’t even know was possible before Baby Girl was born.
But we certainly weren’t the only ones who were up early to make the most of Mother’s Day. At our first stop Granger & Co in Notting Hill, we would have felt completely out of place without Baby Girl in tow at eight o’clock in the morning.
I loved breakfast at Granger & Co before we had Baby Girl too, but we then had to join the queue of people waiting for tables in the late morning.
This time we found parking outside the door, sat in the car for a minute while I hand expressed milk to mix with Baby Girl’s baby rice breakfast, and then walked in to the restaurant to a perfect table by the window.
It felt good to be there. Not only was the food delicious, but we seemed to be among like-minded people – people who carry car seats with baby into a restaurant and look like they’ve packed for a weekend break when they’ve really just left the house for an hour. Practically breakfast with friends.
