0Finding the best time to visit Peppa Pig World
‘I met Peppa Pig, George, Zoe Zebra and Suzy Sheep!’
Even if it’s now six weeks since we went to Peppa Pig World, Baby Girl is regularly talking about the trip. We hear about everything from who she met and which house she spotted to the dinosaur ride being ‘a little bit scary’.
Peppa Pig World, inside Paultons Family Theme Park, makes for a brilliant summer outing for families with young Peppa fans, but I’ve heard from friends they’ve been disappointed with queuing times, so it’s worth considering finding the best time to visit Peppa Pig World.
We went on a warm and sunny Sunday during the school holiday in April after receiving vouchers for tickets from Days Out–a site where you can search for ideas for family days out or buy a subscription to download discounts for attractions. We arrived at the park when it opened at 10am after a 1.5-hour drive from South West London, and it was perfect as a day trip.
The walk from the park entrance to Peppa Pig World is relatively far, and we tried to be quick in case queues would start getting long. Apart from Miss Rabbit’s Helicopter Flight, however, the queues were more than manageable before noon, and Daddy T and Baby Girl did all the other rides in Peppa Pig World and never waited more than 10-15 minutes.
The longest queue we joined was to meet Peppa and George in person, but the wait here was still only around 15 minutes, which is nothing compared to our experience from Disneyland Paris. To get a break from queueing, there’s also the option of playing at the large outdoor Mr Potato’s Playground, where children can climb into Peppa’s Treehouse and more.
I understand that queues can get longer over the summer, so for families going at the most popular times of year, the talk on the playground is that it’s best to book the Early Play and Ride Pass.
The Early Play and Ride Pass is available to pre-book on selected days throughout the year, including every Saturday and Sunday in July and August. The rides open at 9.45am for Early Play and Ride Pass ticket-holders, and from 9am visitors with the pass can play in the George’s Spaceship Playzone and on the playground, as well as enjoy a personal meeting with Peppa and George.
