Best tops for covering baby in the sun
I’m not sure how much was left of my friend’s sun cream after Baby Girl borrowed it yesterday and refused to give it back until she had ensured she had several layers of protection. My 21-month old LOVES sun cream.
But when she was little–before she was six-months old–I tried to avoid sun cream and instead we were conscious about keeping her in the shade and covering her up in lightweight clothes and blankets in the sun.
When shopping for summer clothes, I looked for loose-fitting long-sleeved cotton tops, and I regularly used the bamboo swaddles from Aden & Anais, which I think are ideal for hot weather.
The challenge in terms of clothing is that it’s often difficult to find basic, lightweight tops for babies with long-sleeves for summer, but here are some cute options I’ve found this season:
