2Buying baby basics for a holiday home
I hope the post office in Juan-Les-Pins is big. If not, they might need to clear out some space for my Amazon order. I’m planning on spending some time in France over the summer, and want to avoid having to bring all the baby equipment every time.
Instead, I’m making sure Baby Girl has all the essentials–and perhaps some more. I’ve ordered basics, such as hooded towels, changing mat, nappy wrapper tub and nappy cream.
I’ve also ordered VIA cups to freeze food, Philips Avent mealtime set, Vital Baby spoons and trainer cups, NUK bottles, and a self-adhesive Baby Dan magnetic cupboard lock for baby-proofing the cupboard where cleaning products are stored.
But I didn’t manage to leave it there. I’m so used to using a bath thermometer and the Philips Avent bottle warmer to defrost food, so I decided I couldn’t live without those either.
And I don’t think Baby Girl would enjoy a holiday without toys. That’s why she’s getting a new Fisher Price Chatter Telephone and Rock-a-Stack, as well as a VTech walker.
Grandma N and Grandpa P will be the ones dragging Baby Girl’s walker and other essentials from the post office and up the hill, and also buying Baby Girl a bucket and spade and a proper high chair that will fit for several summers to come. Just a subtle little hint.
Summer in France…that sounds nice! Do you have family there then? I liked spending time there although it was just two weeks somewhere in the Alps during winter 🙂
My parents have a place there, and it’s so easy to travel there from London + great place to holiday 🙂
