0Buying formula for baby on holiday
When Daddy T was shopping at Heathrow last week, he was asked if he was travelling to Africa. The Nice passengers are apparently not the most frequent buyers of ready-made formula for babies.
But I like being prepared–and after not recognising the brands in the supermarkets in France, I decided Daddy T better bring a large supply when he was coming over to meet Baby Girl and me.
I stopped expressing milk for Baby Girl’s breakfast porridge when she was nine months, and we now use one carton of Aptamil Follow-On Milk every day for her porridge.
I had intended to go wild and buy her some French formula for the holiday, but since I don’t speak French and was struggling to read the labels, I decided it was a much better idea for Daddy T to bring 16 cartons from Boots.
We’ve started buying all baby food and formula for trips from Boots at Terminal 5, where they typically have both Aptamil and Cow & Gate cartons. No more travelling light.
