0Celebrating Baby Day 2016 with Baby Annabell Special Care Set
‘I can’t do that because I’m the Mummy!’
Three-year-old Big Girl has taken National Baby Day pretty seriously. She’s had the perfect excuse to avoid going to bed today, as she’s been busy putting her own little one to bed and simply not had time to think about herself like a typical Mummy.
The ‘kid’ she was looking after was Baby Annabell, a lifelike baby doll she received to review last year. Baby Annabell has remained a popular hit with both Big Girl and friends, as the baby doll can cry, giggle and make sounds when eating and sleeping, and she was now thrilled to receive more accessories for her baby to review in time for today’s National Baby Day celebrations.
We’ve previously dressed Baby Annabell in some of the clothes Big Girl had as a newborn, but the baby doll lacked a body and sleepsuit with a perfect fit before we received the Baby Annabell Special Care Set (£24.99).
The Special Care Set contains 12 baby essentials, including baby hat, body, sleepsuit, hanger, teether, shoes, bib, dummy, milk bottle, cream jar, talc bottle and nappy. Big Girl was ecstatic when opening this, and it’s spot on for preschoolers who love pretend play with dolls.
My favourites from the set are the clothes, as they are baby basics that are great for pretending to look after a newborn. Big Girl still sees me dressing Baby Boy with a body first and then an outfit on top, and it’s fun for her to be able to copy what I’m doing.
We had a bottle and dummy for Baby Annabell from the original doll set too, and these are useful to have more of since they are essentials that Big Girl likes taking out and about. The talc bottle and cream jar cannot be opened, but Big Girl is more than happy to pretend to open them.
I think doll accessories can often be expensive, and in many cases one outfit will be the same price as this 12-piece set, which I think makes it a good value starter kit for a special arrival.
Happy Baby Day!
