0Celebrating DVD release of LEGO DC Superhero Girls: Brain Drain
After getting back to the school run I’ve been thinking more about healthy breakfast options, but last Saturday I failed completely. I started the day with a large chocolate muffin from Flavourtown. It had a thick layer of red icing and a Wonder Woman badge. Irresistible.
We had been invited to celebrate the DVD release of LEGO DC Superhero Girls: Brain Drain, and while I was finishing every bit of my cupcake at the Warner Bros event, the children were busy colouring in and looking at the new LEGO DC Superhero Girls building sets.
When the film started I expected to only get 10 minutes to sit down, as I thought I would have to go entertain Big Boy instead, but he took me by complete surprise. The whole family wanted to watch the action-packed film from start to finish.
In the film, the three friends Supergirl, Wonder Woman, and Batgirl appear to be responsible for a series of wrongdoings at their school and in the area, but they can’t remember doing any of them. They start their detective work to get to the bottom of it and make things right.
The family film is fast-paced and lighthearted despite also including lots of superhero action scenes. Mid-way through the film I remember turning to Daddy T and giggling, and there were several good points that made the film fun to watch for parents too.
A girly super-powered action family film!
