Celebrating Halloween with Bing DVD release

Before half term I thought we would schedule lots of fun activities outdoors and plan to see friends every day of the week, but by the time Monday arrived Big Girl was down with a temperature and the only option was to stay at home. Instead, we ended up having our own little party at home–a Bing and Flop Halloween family play date.

We had been invited to celebrate the release of the new Bing Show And Other Episodes DVD, featuring episodes from the CBeebies children’s animation Bing, and received a party pack to get into the spirit of Halloween. Big Girl wanted to dive into the box straight away, and she and Baby Boy both painted little pumpkins.

She later watched the DVD, which was out on 17 October, and she enjoyed the charming stories about three-year-old bunny Bing, his friend Flop and their other companions although the show might be even more suited for preschoolers. I think the sweet episodes about Bing’s everyday pre-school challenges and new experiences, however, was a good fit for a weak Big Girl who simply needed a day to relax and recover on Monday.

We’ve now carved out a special not-so-spooky Bing and Flop pumpkin to continue the celebration and get ready for a long weekend of Halloween activities.

Bing Show And Other Episodes DVD features eight Bing episodes and the combined running time is 59 minutes
