Celebrating National Sibling Day with BABY born

Today Big Girl wants to celebrate. She wants party horns, balloons and party poppers. In her view, it’s needed to celebrate National Sibling Day.

National Sibling Day on 10 April  is not something we’ve celebrated in the past, but in the past year there’s something that’s changed that means it might be worth starting to celebrate. Big Girl and Big Boy are now playing a lot together, and that’s why I was also excited to participate in the BABY born National Sibling Day campaign.

I think pretend play is ideal for siblings, and when Big Girl and Big Boy received a new BABY born Travel Seat to review it was instantly used for the baby to go on a taxi ride with them on the sofa.

The new BABY born Travel Seat (for ages 3 and over) works like many infant carriers, and can be carried with BABY born securely fastened, or propped up so BABY born can enjoy her surroundings. I also like that it’s got the additional benefit of having an extendable handle and wheels, so little ones can wheel BABY born around in the seat too.

I think all the life-like accessories that look like the real thing for little ones help fuel imagination and encourage pretend play between many siblings. With the travel seat, I’ve seen playing holiday becoming even more fun, and as part of this game, the children are great at packing essentials, such as food and nappies in the holiday suitcase.

They received extra samples of food (powder that is mixed with water and becomes a porridge-like mixture) and nappies for the interactive BABY born doll, and feeding and changing the doll together appears to be a true highlight. The only challenge is that I sometimes find wet puddles on the floor when someone has forgotten to put BABY born in a nappy after feeding time.

But despite having the odd accident, BABY born now always looks ready to travel south. She boasts a new BABY born Summer Dress, which we received to review, and Big Girl loved that this came with a pink headband with 12 pins that can be taken on and off and arranged in patterns–a fun way for little ones to personalise the doll outfit.

Happy Sibling Day!
