0Celebrating Trolls DVD release with interactive screening
When Daddy T came home from work today, Alexa was playing the soundtrack from Trolls. Baby Boy was wearing a blue wig and moving to the beat of Can’t Stop That Feeling and Big Girl was hiding under a table, pretending she was escaping from a Bergen and that no one could see her big pink hair.
We were in Trolls-mode after Big Girl and I had been to an interactive screening of the charming DreamWorks production, celebrating that the film is now out on Blu-ray and DVD in time for half-term.
The feel-good film from the creators of Shrek features the very likeable and fun Trolls and popular songs. I think the sugary colours in the film, the fun characters and the focus on what defines happiness, makes this a charming and entertaining family film. Big Girl even wanted to rent the film on Sky to watch it again when we got home despite having been a bit scared of the Bergens, which want to eat the Trolls, during the screening.
She particularly adores the Princess Poppy troll, and one of the highlights from today was meeting her idol and showing Princess Poppy her own Poppy troll toy.
At the screening we could also sing-along, wave little glitter balls above our heads and hug each other when it was Hug Time for the Trolls. A fun day out for half-term, and a film I’m sure we’ll be watching again – albeit not today.
