0Coping with mini-accidents in the home
Just an hour after getting up on Friday we were back to square one. We had to do a second round of morning milk. I figured breastfeeding would be the best way to calm a very upset Baby Girl.
This time it wasn’t just the disappointment of not getting the bling she wanted. She also hurt herself in the process.
In fact, my nine-month old had her very first mini-accident. She was trying to pull out a glitter clutch bag from my wardrobe when she slipped and hurt her mouth.
I was standing next to her with my arms out, ready to catch her if she were to fall. But I wasn’t expecting her to fall downwards. She was meant to fall backwards into my arms.
It all went terribly wrong. There was even blood on her little white body. I immediately called Grandma N, who’s a dentist, but I soon realised there was no blood around the two teeth and they were in the same position as they had been before. The blood was coming from a small cut on her lower lip.
Not good, but at least we were back in the wardrobe later on the same day. That glitter clutch bag is not getting away that easily.
