2Covering baby’s neck with bandana bibs
I have a feeling Baby Girl was the only one wearing a balaclava in King’s Road on Tuesday. It was 19 degrees and sunny, and I had slightly misjudged what it would be appropriate to wear in that type of weather.
Baby Girl was still in her wool balaclava. It’s very thin, but I felt extremely bad when I took it off and it was wet. She was way too warm.
The problem is that we just seemed to skip spring in London this year. I don’t feel I’ve had time to adapt to the sudden summer temperatures, and I now find it difficult to dress Baby Girl in suitable clothing. I know she’s no longer a newborn, but I still feel it would be best to cover her ears and neck.
When I took off the balaclava on Tuesday, I replaced it with a white cotton hat, but her neck was then suddenly not covered. To fix this, I’ve now ordered five bandana bibs or dribble bibs. I’ve been waiting for the opportunity to buy the Funky Giraffe bibs, which are £11 for five, but Baby Girl has not been dribbling, so it’s been difficult to justify despite the bargain price.
But since a friend told me that they have a fleece lining making them perfect for covering little necks, I finally got to test the bargain bibs. Clearly a very valid reason for a bit of daytime online shopping.
Any reason fod daytime online shopping is highly appeciated! 😉
I have a similar impression – it was winter, winter, winter and snow, snow, snow and then…boom! Suddenly its warm and nice and not even springy-like, when it gets warm, it gets hot!
It was so unexpected! But definitely a pleasant surprise 🙂
