0Creating an ideal sleeping environment for baby
Baby Girl had a three-hour lunchtime nap last Monday, and I don’t think she’s ever slept better. She seemed extremely peaceful and it looked like she loved her new sleeping arrangement. She didn’t mind that she was outside right next to a couple of hard-working builders redoing a terrace.
I had been worried about having her at her grandparents’ place because they’re doing work on the house and the place has been turned into a noisy building site. Before going, I had pictured myself standing next to the buggy constantly trying to soothe a tired and upset Baby Girl, while I was becoming more and more stressed about how I would ever find time to finish the freelance project I was working on.
But there was no need to worry. The buzz from a stone cutting machine did wonders. A little bit of background noise turned out to be exactly what we both needed. It seemed to have a calming effect on Baby Girl, and it gave me the opportunity to focus on work for three hours straight in the middle of the day.
Perhaps I should suggest to Daddy T that we knock down a wall or two, so I can take on even more projects.
