Cuckoo Hibou opens stylish Fulham hangout for mums and kids

Cuckoo Hibou PlayhouseOn the weekend I peeked through the windows of the sweet and welcoming Cuckoo Hibou on New King’s Road. I was thrilled to see a gorgeous new boutique and cafe in a central Fulham location, and when I visited yesterday I could immediately see that this was somewhere I would want to start coming both for children’s classes and coffee meet-ups with mummy friends.

Cuckoo Hibou, founded by a French mum and ex-TV journalist, is a boutique and cafe with a basement for children’s workshops and birthday parties. It stands out because it’s been designed with both kids and parents in mind.

While Parsons Green mums relax with a delicious French cake and coffee, children can play in the cafe’s little play house, where there’s a high chair for dolls and shopping baskets, or relax in the book corner, where there’s a cute chair and a variety of French and English children’s books.

Cuckoo Hibou Book CornerPractically everything on the stylish ground floor is for sale, and for anyone who’s like me and loves the pastel colour scheme and chic interior, there’s an array of unique decorations, toys and children’s gifts to discover.

Next week, Cuckoo Hibou will launch a food menu too, offering lunch for grown-ups, kids and even babies. The next step is then the introduction of children’s workshops, which will start on 8 February.

The timetable includes French, music, arts and crafts and drama classes for children aged between 18 months and six years, as well as a weekly mummy fitness class (£20 per class). The children’s classes are £15 per class, or £140 for 10. For mums who want to take their little ones to many Cuckoo Hibou classes, there’s a £149 monthly membership option giving a child access to all classes.

Chic and family-friendly Cuckoo Hibou is a welcome addition to Fulham’s mummy scene!

Cuckoo Hibou is located at 181 New King’s Road in between Chiddingstone and Quarrendon Street
