0New super power sets for DC Super Hero Girls fans
When we had to solve a last minute Christmas present drama by driving to Smyths Superstore in Slough Retail Park at 8am on Christmas Eve, I was excited to find a separate section dedicated to DC Super Hero Girls in the shop. It wasn’t what we were there for at the time, but it struck me that the superheroes–or more specifically the heroines–continue to be increasingly popular with girls.
This month has seen the release of a new range of LEGO DC Super Hero Girls building sets, including characters like Wonder Woman and Batgirl. At Super Hero High, it’s all about magic powers and working together to beat villains and save the world. With the new sets, girls can also build a fantasy world with cool vehicles, such as Harley Quinn’s jet and Wonder Woman’s invisible motorbike.
The DC Super Hero Girls are also available in action figures from Mattel, and there are now also DC Super Hero Girls clothes, bedding, partyware and of course fancy dress costumes.
I think the Rubies DC Super Hero Girls range, which includes Supergirl, Wonder Woman, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn and Batgirl costumes look brilliant.
I could definitely see four-year-old Big Girl–who today picked LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes: Justice League-Cosmic Clash as her film of the week–wanting to dress up as one of her favourite heroines.
And I would love to dress both Big Girl and Baby Boy in matching superhero costumes one time.
Perhaps we’ll have Batman and Batgirl for Halloween 2017!
