0Chic design-led children’s products at Pippi & Jip
With my Scandinavian background, I’ve seldom felt more at home in London than when I walked into the press event for new online shopping destination Pippi & Jip. The showroom was full of functional children’s furniture, many which could be used in multiple ways, and I instantly guessed that some of these practical, quality pieces must come from Scandinavian designers.
And it turned out that I was right. The new Pippi & Jip offers a collection of children’s furniture, accessories and occasion wear from European designers, some which are Scandinavian and many of which are new to the UK market.
The collection includes stylish and unique products, such as some cool animal-shaped bean bags from Italian Saccotto and space-saving chairs and tables from Danish Small Design (see picture above).
I think the Fulham-based founder Lenneke Klomp, who started Pippi & Jip after discovering that the quality design products she was used to from her home country Holland were not available in the UK, has put together a smart and fun collection.
Pippi & Jip is definitely a site I expect to be visiting now and then when searching for new products for Baby Girl’s room, and I’m also excited about seeing pieces from the Pippi & Jip collection again on display at Harbour Club in Chelsea, where Lenneke said she’s planning on exhibiting.
