Discovering baby’s first interests
I’ve been told that it will soon be possible to discover Baby Girl’s interests, making it easier to choose a theme for her first birthday party. But so far her main interests don’t make for great party ideas for one-year olds.
One option would be to have a bling bling party. Baby Girl loves bling. Sparkling earrings, necklaces and rings are the best. She’s not fussy about quality. Everything that glitters or shines is worth staring at, pulling or even chewing.
The other option is to have a shoe-themed party. Baby Girl, who is all over the place at the moment, has shown huge interest in our shoe rack – much to my disappointment.
I guess I have to keep looking for signs of more birthday-friendly interests though. That’s at least if we want to avoid any funny looks from other parents when they turn up to a first birthday with a Tiffany box or Louboutin shoe cake.
