Disney On Ice to bring 50+ characters to life on stage

When we had friends over the other day we were all talking about plans to take the children to Disneyland or Disney World, and it seems like it’s the one holiday destination we all have on our list of places to visit. I think one of the most exciting Disney park experiences for me has always been meeting the characters and watching the parades, and this spring London families can enjoy seeing many of these characters right here too.

While planning trips abroad to meet favourite Disney characters, it’s worth looking into the upcoming Disney On Ice production that hits London on 29 March. The Christmas production was Disney On Ice presents Frozen, which four-year-old Big Girl clearly loved, but the next one is one that will take families on a journey through the world of Disney, featuring more than 50 of the lovable characters.

It is the largest Disney On Ice production that is currently touring, and after reading about it, I feel there has to be something for everyone in Disney On Ice celebrates 100 Years of Magic, which is produced by Feld Entertainment.

The show brings together princesses like Snow White, Belle, Rapunzel, Elsa and Anna; old time favourites like Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pinocchio; and favourite characters from Disney Pixar hits like Toy Story and Finding Nemo.

The stars will perform to the songs that we play over and over again at home, including ‘At Last I See the Light’, ‘A Whole New World’ and ‘Hakuna Matata’.

There’s also a Fit To Dance pre-show before the production starts, and this is part of a programme launched to inspire families to have fun and be active through storytelling and dance.

Disney On Ice celebrates 100 Years of Magic hits SSE Arena, Wembley on 29 March 2017 and their last day in London is 2 April 2017.
