Disney on Ice to entertain London families at The O2 over Christmas

Cars Disney on ICeThere’s more than one reason I don’t really want to go anywhere for too long over Christmas. I just don’t want to miss out on what’s happening in London, and one of the events happening right at the time when many families go away is Disney on Ice.

We went to see Disney on Ice at The O2 last year when Big Girl was 2, and again in April at Wembley Arena. We’ve been invited to go this year, and with Big Girl still considering the programme from last December to be a fantastic bedtime read–despite us mainly having to invent a story to go with the pictures–it’s not something I would be prepared to miss.

Big Girl also regularly asks me if we can go to Disney on Ice nowadays, clearly thinking Disney on Ice is on all the time. Her love for Disney on Ice has come despite us having booked our tickets late and only had seats very far back the two times she’s been, but the ice rink is so big that I think it’s perfectly doable to watch from a distance.

This year’s show, starting on 22 December, should be another winner, and I like that it won’t be too girly, featuring a mix of favourites for both boys and girls. Big Girl will love the Frozen and Little Mermaid sections, but there will also be Toy Story 3 and Cars on the show, as well as Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald.

The experience of seeing favourite Disney characters taking to the ice is something I remember from my own childhood memories, and I’m thrilled to be able to let my little ones grow up with the same experience.
