0Getting dressed for rainy London weather with Joules kids rainwear
With the rainy weather this winter I’ve been trying to teach three-year-old Big Girl to avoid muddy puddles. It’s not going too well though. At least not for the white knitted dress she likes wearing these days.
She walks to school in grey suede boots and white knits, so I can’t say she looks very Scandinavian. To encourage more sensible clothes, I probably need to look at more waterproof clothing.
Clothing and homeware brand Joules, which I’m collaborating with for this post, has a range of colourful rainwear I know she would like.
For unpredictable London weather, I think the best buy in terms of rainwear is typically pack-away coats, and I often walk around with a pocket-sized raincoat for Big Girl.
I like the look of the lime and pink coloured girls pack-away waterproof jacket from Joules (from £24.95 and pictured at the top), and I think this would even meets Big Girl’s strict requirements for stylish clothes.
There’s rain on the forecast later this week again, however, and when there’s no denying that it will be raining, a proper rubber rain coat may be the best choice.
Joules has a sensible blue raincoat option with a nautical feel (see picture on the left) (from £39.95), which works for both girls and boys, and for girls there’s also a pink showerproof rubber coat with spots (from £39.95).
With the right clothes and matching wellies we could even survive some muddy puddles!
