0When mum starts taking detours to please toddler
It’s not a coincidence that I wrote about where to go on King’s Road yesterday. We’re spending an awful lot of time there. We’re not only regularly walking up and down the street, we’re also sitting in the car, stuck in traffic on King’s Road many times every week.
But it’s not where I would usually choose to drive. I typically prefer taking shortcuts to avoid the traffic, but Baby Girl couldn’t agree less. She’s usually not very happy about driving in the afternoon, and if I try taking one of my preferred routes where there are fewer people to look at and no shops, I have to drive with loud screaming from the back seat.
I’ve learnt my lesson. There’s no point arguing. We simply have to sit in traffic on King’s Road, going all the way around Sloane Square and not missing any of the exciting shops and restaurants.
It might take longer, but I can’t fault Baby Girl’s taste!
